6 MILE SUMMER CAMP

A New Direction for 6 MILE

We will be taking a different direction in ministry beginning this year. After much prayer and careful consideration, we will narrow our focus to providing a place for Christian groups to host their own retreats. Over the years, we have welcomed many churches, school organizations, and families to lead their own groups’ retreats. We feel this is our true calling and ministry. We recognize the need for guidance and structure in these areas and are eager to meet those needs and serve groups in this capacity on our property.

With this new focus, it is with a heavy heart we announce that we will no longer be hosting 6 MILE Summer Camp weeks for children or teens. It has been a tremendous honor to serve our campers, their families, and staff in this way over the past seven summers. We have witnessed incredible moments of faith during these camps and will surely miss welcoming our campers each summer. Despite this change, we would still love to host your church group, school group, or family for spiritual growth, intentional fun, and unplugged time spent in God’s creation.

Opportunities to Serve at 6 MILE

Even though we're shifting our focus away from the traditional summer camps, there are still numerous opportunities to serve and grow within the 6 MILE community. We invite you to join us in the following ways:

  1. Retreat Facilitators: Help guide groups through their spiritual journey by becoming a retreat facilitator. This role involves leading discussions, organizing activities, and ensuring that every participant has a meaningful experience.

  2. Hospitality Volunteers: Assist with welcoming and accommodating our guests. Whether it's preparing meals, setting up accommodations, or providing information about the property, your help is invaluable in creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

  3. Grounds and Maintenance Support: Help us maintain the beauty and functionality of our property. This could involve landscaping, repairs, or general maintenance tasks.

  4. Program Development Team: Contribute your ideas and creativity to help develop new retreat programs and activities that align with our mission and vision.

New Ways to Retreat at 6 MILE

As we embrace this new chapter, we are excited to offer innovative retreat experiences designed to foster connection, reflection, and perseverance:

  1. Community Retreats: Join fellow members of your church or school group for a weekend of fellowship, learning, and worship. These retreats are tailored to meet the specific needs and goals of your group.

  2. Respite for Pastors & Missionaries: Pastors, Missionaries, and your immediate families are invited come rest, recharge, reconnect with God and each other, so you may return to your work spiritually refreshed.

  3. Family Getaways: Spend quality time with your loved ones in a serene environment, building relationships and strengthening faith through intentional time away from distractions.

  4. Personal Reflection Days: Take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Spend a day at 6 MILE for personal reflection, prayer, and rejuvenation in nature.

We are thrilled about these new opportunities and look forward to continuing to serve you and your groups at 6 MILE. For more information, email us at info@6milecrv.com.
